(AGI) Rome, May 10 - Italian oil and gas giant Eni on Tuesday succesfully launched a fixed rate bond issue in two tranches of 6 and 12 years, for a total notional amount of 1.5 billion euros. Both the issues were placed on the Eurobond market within the framework of the Euro Medium Term Notes (EMTN) programme. The 6-year bonds total 700 million euros, with an annual coupon rate of 0.750 percent and a re-offer price of 99.644 percent; the 12-year bonds total 800 million euros, with a 1.625 percent annual coupon rate and a re-offer price of 98.732 percent. The proceeds from the issues will be utilised for Eni's ordinary expenses. The bonds will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The notes were mainly acquired by institutional investors in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK. (AGI). .
