Companies need support in internationalisation, says SACE
Alessandro Decio, Sace (Imagoeconomica)

(AGI) Rome, July 7 - Italian businesses need to be supported to the utmost degree in their internationalisation process, affirmed the CEO and General Manager of the Italian export credit agency SACE, Alessandro Decio. Greater cooperation with the banking system is also necessary, Mr Decio added. "The outlook for Italy and the world is not encouraging, and is characterised by uncertainty, less growth, and a drop in international trade," he stated during the presentation of the Global Outlook report by the Institute of International Affairs (IAI). "We have to roll up our sleeves. The 'Italian production system' has room to grow by acquiring a greater share of the export market. Italian companies must be supported to the fullest extent in their internationalisation efforts." With its insurance products covering export risks, SACE plays an important role in this context. "We must be more active in spreading awareness of our insurance coverage. However, a different level of collaboration with the banking system is needed. The objective is to support the Italian system, so we must be determined and courageous in putting the country in motion again. SACE is ready to meet this challenge," Mr Decio said. (AGI). .
