(AGI) Rome, Aug 1 - Italy's Department of Motor Vehicles registered 136,275 vehicles in July this year, 2.86 percent more than the 132,485 sold in the same month of 2015. Sales in June reached 165,796 cars, a 12.28 percent rise compared to the 147,661 sold in June 2015. A total of 382,689 used cars changed owners in July, 5.88 percent less than in July last year (406,614). Property transfers in June reached 379,532 units, 3.58 percent more than June 2015 (366,431). Therefore, overall sales in July totalled 518,964, with new cars making up 26.26 percent and used cars 73.75 percent. The Department of Motor Vehicles registered a total of 1,179,068 cars in the January-July period, 17.10 percent more than in the same period last year (1,006,867). During the same interval, 2,838,956 vehicles changed hands - a 5.51 percent increase on the January-July period of 2015, during which 2,690,806 car ownerships were transfered. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) also released a statement highlighting its position on the market. FCA sales in July reached 39,200 units, rising 4.8 percent against the market's growth of 2.9 percent. Its market share also grew by over 0.5 percent to 28.8 percent. (AGI). .
