Belgrade offers trilogy works by Dario Fo and Franca Rame
 Dario Fo (Agf)

(AGI) Belgrade, Dec 13 - A trilogy of performances, in Italian and Serbian, will be staged on Wednesday evening in Belgrade to commemorate Dario Fo, playwright, actor, director, writer and Nobel Prize Laureate for Literature, who passed away in Ocotber. The event will also be a memorial to the author's wife and muse, Franca Rame, theatre actress and playwright. The performances, promoted and hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, will be directed by Gianluca Barbadori, professional actor and director of international renown. In April a soiree will be devoted to a dramatised reading of Fo's 'Mistero Buffo', staged for the first time in 1969 and performed thereafter in over 5000 events in Italy and abroad. The piece is considered a 20th century "classic". Some excerpts of the text will be presented in a dramatised reading in Italian and Serbian by Natasa Gavrilovic, Cristina Santochirico, Andrea Dardi and Nicola Dotto. On schedule also passages from 'Sesso? Grazie, tanto per gradire', written by Franca Rame and Dario Fo, which will be performed in Serbian. On stage the actors of the Serbian "Beograd Theater Lab" Lana Karaklajic, Nikolina Maric, Stefan Veselinovic, Mirjana Zeljkovic and Vanja Zikic, who will present a text dedicated to women on the chauvinistic attitude of men with amusing and paradoxical monologues. This is a text that focuses on the theme of gender difference, reflecting Fo's and Rame's social committment which characterised the actors' professional career. (AGI).
